Black hole
My friend was telling me about this European experiment thats going on. According to her they're testing the most expensive machine ever built, a particle accelerator machine called the Large Hardon Collider (LHC). I Googled it to find see what it was all about and came up with this link with a bunch of scared reactions from the protesters (http://cosmiclog.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/09/12/1386080.aspx). It all seems kind of crazy to me. On the off chance that this thing fails, it'll end all life. The scientists say that you have a better chance of being struck by lightning than the LHC failing. Even so, if something goes wrong its not just a little lightning hitting 1 person, itll make a black hole and suck up the whole planet.

I think it's crazy, too. To think that scientists have created something that can destroy the world is ludicrous. Do we really need this thing? And another thing I find crazy is the amount of money it cost to make that thing. Our country has enough money problems as it is. Do we really need to waste millions of dollars on this "dangerous" thing that won't really do us any good?
Woah, I always thought that was only in science-fiction, very scary to think about, it reminds me of the one is spiderman 2, the one Doc Oc had.
